I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a couple of days in the San Juan Islands of Washington observing these beautiful foxes. The parents were busy hunting while the kits enjoyed playing with each other. It was amazing. Even with a long lens and trying to keep my distance I found that out of nowhere mom or dad would surprise me and walk right past me returning from a hunt. One particular return was with quite a large snake and found it quite hilarious as one of the kits picked up the entire snake and ran off with it. Probably something I would have done as a kid rather than share with my 3 brothers as well.
